Almost to that 1 year mark

The Bengal Kittens

This was a session I went into thinking that it would be very challanging to get these two very young, very hyper kittens to cooperate, but needless to say they exceed all my expectations.  Although the toughest part was getting both kittens sitting and looking together, they did amazing!  Thank you Nick and Jessica for having me come to your home and get to spend sometime with these amazingly soft and adorable kittens you guys have! You know I loved every minute of it!

GO COBRAS!!!!!!

Cobras Soccer

What a fun morning watching these littles run around on a 4th of the size of a real soccer field and kick this ball like mad!  They are learning the game and most importantly learning how to control themselves in an organized team sport!  But like all athletes and players their favorite time was and will always be SNACK TIME!!!!!!

Welcome to the World Baby Champion

Oh this was such an emotional experience for mom and dad but for me as well.  I would have to say this was my favorite sessions I have ever done.  The love and blessing it is to have a child is something very special and to be able to photograph Baby Hayes within the first couple of minutes he entered this world was amazing!  So I honestly say a big Thank You to Megan and Jordan for this new experience as a photographer!  Congrats to you all!

Megan& Jordan +1

What an honor and a joy to be asked by my close friend from high school to record this special moment during her pregnancy.  I was so glad to to this with them and looked forward to seeing them more of them and their little bundle in the future.

Lets Take the time to Reflect

It’s really hard to think that this 2 year journey to obtain my photography degree is almost over.  As I reflect back on my time in this program I find that not only am I really relieved that I have achieved this milestone but I am sad to think my time with my teachers and fellow classmates are coming to an end!

I have to say how proud I am of myself and my fellow classmates on finishing this degree because this is not an easy thing to learn and was a very intense program.

So cheers to the class of 2015 Randolph Community College Photographic Technology!

Happy Birthday Merica

This past weekend was the 4th of July and as we seem to do every year we spent it at the beach, relaxing, swimming, and watching the fireworks display.  We normally vacation at North Myrtle Beach but we switched it up this year and went to Oak Island.  I have to say it was a better fit for us and our family.  I took my camera with me one night to the ocean with us and captured some really nice images of my little girl and my husband that I will cherish forever.  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and Fourth!

Close to my Heart

Blog week 5

Blog week 5_2

There are some things that you just love to photograph and that would be my little nephews and their first t-ball season this summer.  This type of baseball is way different from the baseball I photographed last summer for my small format class, but it is a lot closer to my heart.  They do not keep score and the parents stand on the field with their children so it is a really relaxed environment which is great for me and photography because I just walk right out into the in-field to get the position I need.  I keep my shutter speed high enough to stop the motion, but not as high as I would if I was photographing older baseball because these kids are not even close to being as fast as them.  This is not for profit or for promotion so I really just get to relax and play around with them while doing this, which is a nice break from sessions sometimes.  I love you Daniel & Caleb! GO GRASSHOPPERS!!!!!!
